The Origin Story
In 2015, Nick Jones and Susan Johnson started Freaky Foot Tours with less than $150 in startup capital. Nick brought five generations of Arizona family roots and operational grit. Susan brought years of archival research, court records, newspaper clippings, and first-person accounts that would become the foundation for every tour the company has ever run.
What started as a single ghost tour through downtown Flagstaff has grown into a multi-city operation spanning Flagstaff, Prescott, and Tucson. Seven tours, 30,000+ guests, and 1,300+ reviews later, the company is still owned and operated by the same two people who walked the first tour.
This is not a franchise. Not a corporate outfit licensed to run someone else's scripts in a new zip code. Freaky Foot Tours is built on original research and local knowledge that no national chain can replicate. Walk the seven haunted locations and you will see why.
"The best ghost tours are the ones where the guide knows more than they can fit into 75 minutes. That's every tour we run."
